Communications & Relationships Officer (Network Facilitator)

Amnesty International is looking for a Communications & Relationships Officer for a fixed term contract until December 2011 based in Hong Kong. As part of the Asia Pacific Youth Project, you’ll be responsible for facilitating network connections and communications as well as supporting the engagement and development of young people in the Asia Pacific towards their aim of working together on human rights campaigns.
Your previous experience in relationship management, effective use of online tools to communicate with diverse audiences, while maintaining online spaces, and your interest in CRM systems will give you a strong background to achieve the purposes of this role. Your job satisfaction is highest when the people you know connect without you, when you enable organic growth in a network.
You have an understanding of civil society organizations in the Asia Pacific region, are skilled as using new media in a campaigning environment, and you will have supported youth leadership and skills development. Applicants must have an excellent command of written and spoken English, additional langauges are highly desiable. Adapting quickly to change and working collaboratively, your excellent communications skills and genuine interest in human rights, capacity building and young people makes this a great next step for you.

Youth Development and Campaigns Officer (Campaign Facilitator)

Amnesty International is looking for a Youth Development and Campaigns Officer for a fixed term contract until December 2011 based in Hong Kong. As part of the Asia Pacific Youth Project, you’ll be responsible for facilitating campaigning activities as well as supporting the skills development of young people in the Asia Pacific to work together on human rights campaigns.
Your previous experience in campaigning and mobilization in the Asia Pacific and working with a diverse range of young people to develop their advocacy and organizing skills, using online communications tools, means that your job satisfaction is highest when people work together to create impact.
You have an understanding of civil society organizations in the Asia Pacific region; have used a range of campaigning techniques and some experience in volunteer coordination and capacity building.
Adapting quickly to change and working collaboratively, your excellent communications skills and genuine interest in social change makes this a conscious next step for you.
