An opportunity for YOU to be part of an Asia Pacific-wide campaign on MDGs and its relationship with human rights
APYN wants YOU to volunteer to be a ‘Meet on MDGs’ Facilitator!”
Do you wish to be part of a great campaign for human rights to be included in the Millennium Development Goals? Be a ‘Meet on MDGs’ facilitator and hold meets of young individuals to answer five simple questions:

- What can you buy with $US 1.25 (a day) in your hometown?
- Please list the MDGs in order of importance to you
- Which human rights in the UDHR are NOT covered by the MDGs
- If you were the leader of your country, how would you include human rights in the MDGs?
- What is one thing you can do to make the MDGs real?

In nepalese context its most talked but un-noticed topic so it would be very intresting among youths.and i doubt the answer differs between locality so cant we faciliate this session in more than one place?and i think we should carry it as campaign.
Hi !
Thanks for your comment! Absolutely you can organise to faciliate in different locations and this is certainly the first stage in the campaign! Looking forward to seeing responses from Nepal! You can register the Meet on MDGs through email to apynmdgs@gmail.com and provide the responses, or views of young people through this form
I am Okka Phyo Maung from Myanmar. I am a current one of the community workers in Myanmar. I just got the mail from Myanmar Youth Network in Myanmar. According to my volunteering experiences, being a volunteer is really hard for us. But for some people who want to serve community is totally fine for them. Every obstacle that they faced become doesn’t matter for them. Therefore, it is not strange to be a volunteer to be a ‘Meet on MDGs’ Facilitator!”
However, I still have “Wh” question in my mind. When? Where? Why?. In this website, I can read everything that i want to read. But in the home page, we can’t see the clear data for this volunteering. In Myanmar, we can’t search the website very well according to extremely slow connection. For those people like me, only the perfect home page can solve the problem.
Hi,
This is great for our subcontinent like Nepal as many people are under illitrate and under poverty. We look forward for the idea and suggestion if we can carry out this in Nepal
Best
Jyoti
Hi Jyoti!
This is all about talking with your friends, so you can speak with people you know about the issues. Our suggestion – start small and start a conversation!
thanks!
Dear Okka Phyo Maung, thanks so much for your comment and suggestion! We’ll do our best to update the homepage. Where possible we try to circulate links directly to the information also but will definately keep your great feedback and suggestions in mind! Thank you!
Also, please everyone remember to be safe first.
