CALL ON SINGAPOREAN PRESIDENT TO RECONSIDER YONG’S CLEMENCY AND COMMUTE HIS DEATH SENTENCE Dear President Nathan, I am appalled by the news the Singapore Court of Appeal, Singapore’s highest court, dismissed Yong Vui Kong’s appeal. Since Singapore imposes a mandatory death sentence for all drug trafficking offences involving more than 30g of heroin leaving judges no discretion to consider factors such as age, the background of the offender or other mitigating circumstances, Yong was sentenced to death when he was found guilty of carrying 47g of heroin from Malaysia into Singapore. He was only 19 years old when he committed the crime. I urge to you to reconsider Yong Vui Kong clemency and commute his death sentence to a prison sentence.

URGE MALAYSIAN FOREIGN MINISTER ANIFAH TO PRESS SINGAPOREAN PRESIDENT NATHAN TO RECONSIDER YONG’S CLEMENCY AND COMMUTE HIS DEATH SENTENCE呼吁马来西亚外长向新加坡总统施压,要求他改判其死刑Dear Foreign Minister Anifah, I am appalled by the news the Singapore Court of Appeal, Singapore’s highest court, dismissed Yong Vui Kong’s appeal. Last July, when Malaysian officials called on Singapore to spare Yong Vui Kong’s life, you announced, “I will be writing to the government of Singapore to plead for his clemency.” I urge to you to press Singaporean President Nathan to reconsider Yong Vui Kong’s clemency petition and commute his death sentence.

Should get to the root of the problem and hang those who produce and those who prepare innocent drug mule person. Not hanging those con into doing the job without even knowing the consequences of what they are carrying or even have done. To those who is at the wrong place at the wrong time. May you rest in peace. To those who frame or lied the actual facts. May you have a long life struggle till the end of your suffering years.
Please… “thou shalt not kill”. Forgive him… let him live.
This is an outrage. I hear they constantly murder/execute males but females are spared for commiting the same crime.
Oh yes, and mutilation by whpping too
Under the tragic circumstances that led to his actions, Yong Vui Kong clemency should have been carried out long time ago.
Please spare the life of this young person. He can become a new person and enrich his community. Death will not solve anything!
May Yong Vui Kong live!
