APPLY TO BECOME A YOUTH REP FOR APYN’S CAMPAIGN ON INDIGENOUS RIGHTS!
WHAT? APYN is looking for a young, experienced, and enthusiastic person from the Asia Pacific to volunteer to lead our campaign on indigenous rights as a Youth Rep!
Youth Rep’s responsibilities:
- Work with friends and partners in the region
- Plan and organize campaigning activities on indigenous rights
- Mobilize young people in Asia Pacific to take action
- Weekly email updates
- Evaluation in November 2011
WHO? Youth Rep is not an easy voluntary position – it’s a lot of work, requires time, and it can even get stressful at times!
You need to be:
- Responsible
- Independent
- Responsive
- Friendly
- Passionate and enthusiastic
And have these skills:
- Working level English
- Familiar with social networking sites
From being a Youth Rep, you will get:
- Working experience with young people around Asia Pacific
- Direct support for planning, implementing, evaluations, and strategic campaigning
- Develop your facilitation and campaigning skills
- Make new friends and networks
- Lots of fun!
