Have you seen our current actions of World Habitat Day and World Day against the Death Penalty? Have you planned to ask your friends and take actions together?
What’s new? Let’s do something together for World Habitat Day
What is a home to you? We are collecting responses from young people in Asia Pacific in words, drawings, photos, and videos! We will send these to people in China and Cambodia who are facing or are at risk of forced evictions. Many APYNers have taken action already – what are YOU(th) waiting for?

Current Action – Send a letter to President of Taiwan to NOT execute Chiou Ho-Shun!
Chiou’s sentence was based on his confession that was extracted under torture which led to an unfair trial and the death penalty is a cruel, inhumane and violates human rights! The Prosecutor General recently rejected an extraordinary appeal for retrial.
Asia Pacific YOUth need to ask the Taiwanese authorities to not execute Chiou – let’s flood the Taiwanese authorities with letters!

Do More – Participate in Death Penalty photo competition
Our friends at AI Malaysia shared with us the idea of celebrating World Day Against the Death Penalty with a photo competition. If you are an amateur photographer under 30 years old, take a photo about what you think of the Death Penalty and compete in a photo competition to win a prize equivalent to 250USD! http://bit.ly/throughmylens
