On 4 June, the Human Rights Commission of Pakistan informed our friends at AI about a plot by the Inter-Security Intelligence (ISI) to kill human rights lawyer Asma Jahangir.
The information of the plot to kill Asma Jahangir was leaked from the ISI. Jahangir believes this information is highly credible because it has been leaked from the security apparatus. She has not moved from her home since this information was leaked. A full investigation of the plot and protection should be provided to Asma Jahangir.
From now until 31 August, send a letter to the government of Pakistan to protect Asma Jahangiur and demand an investigation about the murder plot.

Who is Asma Jahangir and the ISI?
Asma Jahangir is the founder of the Human Rights Commission of Pakistan and is a leading human rights activist and lawyer.
The ISI is the leading intelligence service for the Pakistani armed forces and military, however, it has previously been implicated in the abduction and murder of Pakistani journalist Saleem Shahzad in May 2011.
